Why WhatsApp Status is not introduced in WhatsApp Web?
Here is the fact that Whatsapp web was earlier developed as a closed platform. The only access to a user in the platform was the one on the mobile phone. - We have to first enable the camera on our Whatsapp Web. The camera is not visible yet on the browser.
- Go to Settings on WhatsApp Web.
- Select Web.
- Tap the camera icon and turn on camera.
- Provide access to the camera for the messaging service.
- Go to the Chat section.
- Copy and paste the URL of your friends to their address bar and open it.
- Provide the login details (Facebook account, Google account) as the group name.
- Click on Re-Share message and send it.
Once the message is sent, you can view your friends’ status updates in the WhatsApp Web. Just click on the Friends’ list and select their status update. You will be able to see the status update in the chat. You can like or dislike the statuses on the same screen.

What are the restrictions of uploading Status in Whatsapp Web?
The Status on WhatsApp Web is made available for a group of only 30 people, unlike the one on mobile where you can upload Status to all the users on the phone. There is a limit to the number of people who can see a Status on WhatsApp Web as compared to mobile.
As you can see above, WhatsApp does not allow user to add status for another group of user and only the users in a particular group can see it.
